SMS terms and conditions
Last updated September 16, 2026
These terms cover the DialTale text alert program, operated by DialTale, LLC. By signing up on a call, you agree to them.
The program is not live yet. No text messages are being sent to anyone during our pilot. The line records a caller's request only. When alerts launch, anyone who asked during the pilot is asked again on a call before we send anything.
What we send
New-episode release alerts for DialTale series: a short message telling you an episode is open, and occasional news about new DialTale stories. That's all this program sends. We don't send third-party advertising, and we never rent, sell or share the list with anyone for their marketing.
How often
Message frequency varies and follows each series' release schedule, typically about one message per episode release, which is roughly weekly while a series is running. Some weeks have no messages at all.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply. DialTale doesn't charge for alerts; your mobile carrier's normal rates apply.
How to opt in
Opt-in happens on a phone call, by keypad. There is no sign-up form on this website, and no one is added without opting in on a call.
- At the end of a call, callers who haven't signed up hear: "Press 1 for texts when new episodes drop."
- Pressing 1 plays the full terms: "By pressing 1, you agree to get recurring automated text alerts about new episodes and new DialTale stories. No purchase required. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to end them."
- Pressing 1 again, after those terms finish, signs you up. Any other key, or no key, ends the call and records nothing.
- Once the program is live, we send one confirmation text right after sign-up.
Signing up is never required to hear episodes, and never required to buy anything.
How to stop
Reply STOP to any DialTale message to end alerts at any time. We send one message confirming you've been unsubscribed, and then nothing further.
How to get help
Reply HELP to any DialTale message for help, or email contact@dialtale.fm. Our HELP reply identifies DialTale as the sender and explains how to unsubscribe.
Carriers
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy
Phone numbers collected for these alerts are handled as described in our privacy policy. Mobile phone numbers and text sign-up information are never shared, sold or rented to third parties for marketing.
